There was a time when Buddy believed people were something to fear.
When he first arrived in foster care, this beautiful boy was completely shut down. He kept his distance, wouldn't allow anyone to touch him, and watched the world from the safety of hiding places, convinced that people couldn't be trusted.
Fast forward four months... and Buddy is writing a very different story. ❤️
Day by day, tiny step by tiny step, this brave little boy has discovered that gentle hands bring head scratches, kind voices mean safety, and people can actually be pretty wonderful.
These days Buddy happily accepts pats, melts into gentle head rubs, and has even discovered the magic of purring. Every new milestone feels like a little victory, and watching his confidence grow has been one of the most rewarding journeys his foster family has ever experienced.
One thing that's helped Buddy blossom has been the company of other friendly cats. He's taken so much comfort from having confident feline companions around him and would absolutely thrive in a home with another gentle, social cat to show him the ropes and keep him company.
One of the sweetest surprises has been how gentle Buddy is with young children. Despite his own fears, he has always been incredibly kind and quietly enjoys their company.
Buddy won't be the cat who marches into your home on day one demanding cuddles.
Instead, he'll give you something far more special.
