Lucky is looking for a rural home with not a lot of distractions
Lucky is a sweet, affectionate boy with a gentle nature and so much love to give. He forms strong bonds with his people and is happiest when he's close by, whether that means playing tug, following you around the house, or relaxing nearby.
At home, Lucky is wonderfully well-mannered. He is fully toilet trained, can happily spend time alone, and isn't destructive (apart from enthusiastically "customising" his own toys, many of which need regular re-stuffing!). He loves interactive play and is incredibly clever, picking up new training and routines very quickly.
Lucky needs to be the only pet in the home. He missed out on some important early socialisation as a puppy, so the outside world can feel overwhelming for him. Cars, unfamiliar dogs and busy streets can cause him to become overstimulated. He has been making steady progress with calm, controlled walks and training in controlled environments and medication.
A large, secure yard is a must — somewhere away from other animals and passing cars, where he can feel safe and settled. He loves spending time doing zoomies and chasing birds.
Lucky wasn't given the best start, but he has so much potential and is such a joy to be around! He deserves the chance to continue growing with someone who can see the wonderful dog he is. He would need someone willing to provide patience, kindness and time to help him build confidence at his own pace. Lucky thrives with consistency and routine, and will reward you with unwavering loyalty and plenty of love.
If you've got previous experience with reactive or nervous dogs or are willing to work with trainers, have the proper environment as an only pet home (with that all-important large yard!), and have plenty of patience and love to give, this cutie is exactly who you're looking for!
